My last post was in February! MY how time flies! Not that NOTHING has been going on... maybe too much has!
Business side: My website has been redesigned, and I love it! www.allindetails.com
Things have been busy, between my juggling things at PT, trying to build my business, being pregnant, taking care of Amber and Morgan traveling soo much! He's becoming quite the go-to guy for Medical Tourism, and we are all so very proud of him! He was even published in an industry magazine on a topic he pitched and wrote himself! He's been traveling all over the world, so far in the last 6 months he's been to Columbia, Costa Rica, Korea, I feel like there's been more - Mexico and Puerto Rico were supposed to happen, and then there's all the travel within the United States... We've put a travel freeze on the month of July bc that's ALL we need is for him to be out of pocket and something happen with the baby!
Family Side: Amber is turning 8 this week! We have an amazing trip to Dallas planned, she's always complaining that we go on these fun trips without her (while she's at her dad's) and that SHE wants to go to Dallas or New Orleans too! So off we go! We're staying at the Great Wolf Lodge - the biggest waterpark she's ever going to see! I told her that Wild River Country could fit in our house compared to the size of this place... and her eyes got huge! There's talks of going to Six Flags too... but I don't know if the baby and I can take walking all day in the heat like that.. At least the water park is indoors AND part of our hotel, so worst case scenario I can float around in the lazy river while She and Morgan go nuts on the slides... or go back to the room for a nap. My girl has grown up so much.... I can't believe she's already 8! (that in no way is a reflection of ME getting older, of course...)
Baby News: I've been gettting bigger and bigger and thank GOD I'm at 7 months now! Its getting really hot, and hard for me to do things. Last week the doc wanted me to come in to be monitored because something didn't seem right. I was having contractions for about 5 hours....They weren't terribly PAINFULL, but enough to disrupt activities, and averaging between 5-7 minutes apart. Sterling does NOT like things on my belly, and tends to kick them off. Literally. So he was not happy about the two monitors strapped down on my belly, and spent the entire time forcefully kicking trying to remove them. Sent home with the order to try and drink a gallon of water a day, and a few days of bedrest. Drinking a gallon of water is pretty IMPOSSIBLE when there's a super active baby making your bladder super tiny in there! And bedrest.... during the busiest season of the year? um... yeah, that hasn't happened yet... I know it NEEDS to. I go to the doctor tomorrow. I'm pretty sure he's going to tell me I have to stop working. At least for a while. Its not that I'm being a weenie, or just uncomfortable... I hit wall around 2 pm, and then its painful. Its hard for me to walk around, my legs feel like they way 100 pounds each... I feel like sleeping for a few hours, but can't... Getting off work at 5, it is a struggle to get in and out of the car to pick amber up... and the last 4 steps into the house from the garage are like climbing Everest! Amber has started making ME dinner these days... I think she's realizing just how hard it is for me to even get a glass of water!
Home news: We've been shaking things up. Amber is back in her orignal room... which was painted blue for Sterling, then his furniture came and could only fit on ONE wall.. all of it side by side.... so we had to swap her back. Now she has this cool room with modern pop of purple against the blue, with cool decals and fun accessories. Sterling is now in a brown room, but it works well with the monkeys and dots... the nursery is ALMOST completed. I just have a few final touches on the decor to do, as well as finish getting Amber completely moved out of the room (we need a closet intervention)I've made a ginormous "honey do" list of things I want to get done around the house before the baby comes... a pre-nesting plan I suppose... Would you expect less from a planner? It was actually Morgan's idea, as we were talking about how overwhelming it is that we have projects we want to do but haven't started yet... and his suggestion: "why don't you treat it like an event, and just make out a timeline like you would for a wedding. What all needs to get done, steps needed to make it happen, and then how can we accomplish it all in the amount of time we have left".... Super Idea honey! I guess he DOES understand why I am awesome at what I do... =D
TODAY: we get to take Amber to the Hospital for a Big Sister class, where we'll do the hospital tour, learn about baby care, and she gets her official "Big Sister" tshirt to wear at the hospital!
I still need to book a photo session for us, I would like to have the belly pics in time for my baby shower next month, but then again, I want BIG belly shots... and right now, I either have big belly or not so big belly - depending on where Sterling is, which changes every 45 minutes!
I've also got a photography plan to capture the anticipation, and then the first sight shots from Labor... I don't want national geographic coverage... But THIS time, I want my birth plan to be actually carried out! The family bonding time is very important to us. Amber will be the first person to meet her brother (after Morgan and I of course) and I want it all on film!
I've got photos to post, but they may just be posted as an album, I've got to go eat now... It is time!
